Mouth treatment

Tooth removal

Extraction (pulling out) or surgical removal of a tooth that is not worth preserving is one of the routine outpatient dental surgery procedures.

Before the procedure, we examine you carefully and take X-rays. This allows us to safely assess whether a tooth can still be saved or which teeth need to be removed. Tooth extraction is performed gently and painlessly, usually under local anaesthetic.

Osteotomies (removal of wisdom teeth)

One of our daily routine procedures is the gentle removal of wisdom teeth.

Our experienced surgeons use state-of-the-art instruments to deliver particularly low-vibration, effective treatment.

Dental implants

Dental implants are artificial roots for missing teeth. Even completely toothless jaws can be fully fitted with functioning teeth again.

At the Landes and colleagues Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Practice, you can expect a highly skilled team with over 20 years of experience with dental implants and preparatory surgery. Our expertise in special prosthetic solutions with special implants, telescopic prostheses, zygomatic implants and telescopic overdentures offers assistance even in problematic cases.

Wurzelspitzen-
resektionen

In the case of tooth root inflammation or decay of the tooth root, an apicectomy can still preserve the tooth for you.

We treat youwith modern, gentle ultrasound-assisted root canal preparation and tissue-friendly, very secure sealing materials for the root filling.

Oral mucosa

Diseases of the oral mucosa can be extremely stressful. Especially if these are chronic (lichen, leukoplakia), it is important to plan the therapy for the long term and to keep having regular check-ups.

We advise you in detail and accompany you during diagnostic procedures as well as local and, if necessary, systemic therapy.

Oral reconstruction

Burns, malformations, signs of ageing and general diseases can damage and sometimes destroy the structures of the mouth.

We reconstruct your oral structures gently using the body’s own materials or suitable animal or synthetic products.

Tongue transplantation or reconstruction

The tongue is essential for speaking, chewing,  swallowing.

In the event of partial loss due to injury or disease (e.g. due to a tumor)  it may be necessary to transplant tissue and reconstruct the tongue.

This is a so-called autotransplantation , i.e. the body’s own tissue that is inserted at the site of the tongue that has been lost (e.g. due to an accident or a tumor) . Read more here in the BILD article
