Information for patients regarding data protection

Dear patient, dear parents, the protection of your personal data is important to us. According to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we are obliged to inform you about the purpose for which our Clinic and Ambulantory Surgery Center collects, stores and forwards data. The information also tells you what rights you have in terms of data protection.

Purpose of data processing

Data processing is carried out on the basis of legal requirements in order to fulfil the treatment contract between you and your doctor and the associated obligations. For this purpose, we process your personal data, in particular your health data. This includes medical history, diagnoses, therapy suggestions and findings that we or other doctors collect. For this purpose, other doctors and psychotherapists with whom you are receiving treatment may also provide us with data (e.g. doctors’ letters and X-rays). The collection of health data is a prerequisite for your treatment. If the necessary information is not provided, careful treatment cannot take place.

Recipients of your data

We only transfer your personal data to third parties if this is permitted by law or if you have given your consent. Recipients of your personal data may primarily be other doctors/psychotherapists, statutory health insurance funds dentists’ associations, health insurance funds, the medical service of the health insurance fund, dental laboratories, medical associations and private medical billing offices. The transmission is mainly for the purpose of billing for the services provided to you, for clarifying medical questions and questions arising from your insurance relationship. In individual cases, data is transmitted to further recipients. Please note that we embed Google APIs on our website which can be used to display YouTube videos, Google Maps and Google Fonts, among other things. This transmits data to Google, provided you accept the marketing cookies.

Storage of your data

We only keep your personal data for as long as is necessary to carry out your treatment. Due to legal requirements, we are obliged to keep this data for at least 10 years after completion of the treatment.

By clicking these Social Media buttons, you’ll be navigated to our pages at the respective provider platforms. In this case, based on if you’re logged in at the respective provider platform, your data will be processed recording to the providers privacy policy. We can not control this process and it’s not in our area of responsibility.

Your rights

You have the right to obtain information about the personal data concerning you. You can also request the correction of incorrect data. In addition, you have the right to delete data, the right to restrict data processing and the right to data portability under certain conditions. Your data is processed on the basis of legal regulations. Only in exceptional cases do we need your consent. In these cases, you have the right to withdraw consent for future processing. You also have the right to complain to the data protection supervisory authority if you consider that the processing of your personal data is unlawful.
